It is with great sadness and...
It is with great sadness and a heavy heart that I inform all of you that Reggie Destin left us in this life this morning. All of us have been touched by him. Even those of you that may have not known Reggie personally have been touched by the love for him by all of us.
All donations collected thus far and any future donations will be allocated towards expenses already incurred and services for Reggie.
I will do my best to inform everyone of services for Reggie.
We are all overwhelmed at this time with sadness but I want all of you to know that he is with us still. His love and smile will live on in all of us forever.

My name is Christopher Pitzen, and I've created this page on behalf of
my dear friend Reggie Destin, whom I've known for 18 years.
He unfortunately suffered life-threatening injuries on Oct. 19, 2012, and is still hospitalized in critical condition.
I ask you to think back to when you first met Reg and I can guarantee you he had a smile on his face. We need that smile.
I ask you to give what you can, and rest assured that all of the money
raised will go directly to Reggie to help him on his road to recovery.

The very first time I ever stepped foot in Chicago was to attend a skate event at a local museum. Reggie walked right up to me, minutes after I arrived in town, introduced himself and said he'd show me around the city. We've been friends ever since that day, and I've never been to Chicago without spending at least a day with him in his city. And make no mistake, Chicago is Reggie's town. I am very sorry to hear this. Prayers go out to his friends and family. This is a sad day for the skate community and everyone that knew Reggie.

I don't know Reggie personally but I grew up in the 80's/90's in Chicago as a skater and I wish we'd have had someone like him back then so this is for the kids coming up and get well soon!

Get well soon Reggie. I'll be looking forward to skating with you the next time I'm out in Chi-town. Don't think I forgot about that Krush skatepark hook up. Both myself and Vern had a fun time and am forever grateful for you setting that up. My prayers are for you for a quick recovery. See you soon. Peace.

Thank you so much for setting up this fund for Reggie! He is an amazing person and has been a great friend for almost 25 years! I definately have a smile on my face everytime I think of him! My love and prayers are with him and all his friends! Can't wait to see his smiling face again soon!
