Recreational Therapy Drama Program

We are asking  for support in the Sycamore Services, Inc. Recreational Therapy department. Sycamore Services, Inc. is a local non-profit organization that provides a variety of services for individuals with developmental disabilities. Our services meet the needs of individuals with impairments in physical abilities, learning, language, behaviors and socialization skills. As an agency our mission is to make a difference in the lives of individuals with developmental disabilities through providing quality individualized services to increase independence and enhance their quality of life.


The Sycamore Services, Inc. Recreational Therapy department is looking to start a drama program and put on a play production. As Recreational Therapists, we develop activities and programs based in leisure and recreation that are targeted to each individual in developing physical, cognitive, and social/emotional skills. These skills will assist with our client's independence in their community. With this drama program we hope to enrich the lives of our clients by offering a new experience that will foster the development of socialization skills, self-esteem and independence. We aim to offer an opportunity for the individuals we serve to learn skills in the theatre and participate in specialized play production. 
Our organization values community outreach and support in developing our programs and activities.


We are asking for donations to be used towards developing our drama program.  By donating to our program, you would help our production obtain play necessities such as costumes, sets, props, and the scripts.
