ReBooting Bron's HomeBased Business

Hello. I'm Bron Mitchell. I am an Aussie Mum of 4 wonderful children. I wear many hats, including casual facepainter, crafter, and writer, as well as many other hats. Over the past few years I have started 4 projects that I'm very passionate about. These projects are all separate entities but they are all intertwined.

I have put too much blood, sweat and tears into creating these projects to let them die. But thanks to several major life issues (including several forced house moves due to changes in the landlords circumstances, and the end of a long term relationship) the porjects have stalled and/or are growing stale. I have severe depression, and other issues that make it hard for me to work in a regular job and I have tried many things over the years to help my family (all with the aim of being financially self-sufficient). I am also homeschooling one of my children and so working from home works on many levels. As I said earlier,  I have put too much time into the projects to simply abandon them but I'm unable to take them to the next stage because I do not have the finances to do so. The ideal solution would be to apply for a bank loan but I have been knocked back several times (due to some poor choices made years ago). I have been looking into crowdfunding for some time and I have decided to bundle the 4 projects up into one crowdfunding campaign. Therefore I am seeking Patrons to help me, where the banks won't.

What is a Patron? (Noun) A person who gives financial or other support to a person, organization, cause ...

Those that choose to become Patrons, will not only help me to get back on to my feet and to help my family become financially independant, they will also be helping to support other home and small businesses. How? I will be purchasing stock from, and hiring the services of, other small and home business owners. Also my projects help to provide free and reasonably priced advertising and promotion for small and home business owners. So in effect helping ME means that you will also be helping others.


Briefly my projects are:

Butterfly Magick:
I am a casual facepainter plus I am a crafter and I will be once again making lovely items to sell. (plus I am a rep for some lovely organic pamper goodies).

I need to order in some goodies, get my insurance renewed for facepainting (I do it semi casually for the time being), get my sewing machine and overlocker repaired (as working my hand will not cut it). 

WAHM Bags:
I am very passionate about these bags. They are a no strings attached gift. The bags are made by a talented friend, and the bags are filled with goodies from small & home businesses (as a novelty promotional opportunity). Approx 120 of these bags have been hand delivered (mostly by me) to various Celebrities. A lot of thought and planning goes into these bags and their contents. 

I have launched the show bags, and I would love to be able to take this to the next step with the creation of Cheer bags (bags for those that need cheering up in some way). 


I need to order a big enough supply of bags (I usually order in small amounts and never have enough on hand). (Pictured below is the contents of one of the bags delivered last year). I hire 3 wahms/small business owners to make these bags for me. 





TEES Me, Please!:
TMP needs a whole new lease of life (new site, new direction and some new ideas). TMP provides out-of-the-box promotional services, at a reasonable rate. I have had some success helping other small and home businesses get the word out about their businesses via social media.

The WAHM Connection:
thewahmconnection.net.au is something i have been working on for a few years - and dreamed of ever since I wanted to work from home. This was to be one of the biggest WAHM/small biz online communities and membership site.


There will be various levels of membership (free to lifetime), and there will be a mass of resources for those wanting to run their own businesses from home. Membership packages will also include other features; including advice, advertising packages, listing in an online biz directory, promotion and lots more. It will be Australian based but with an international focus.


However the project has stalled. I have got as far as I can with the website on my own; I need help (to get it to be exactly as I have imagined or close to). Once again I'll be hiring some of my small business mates to help. I have people that have waited a long time for me to deliver on this membership website.


There are over 3600followers of the page. (in my entire social media network I have over 10000 people and this is growing).

Some of the perks will take a few months or so deliver to the patrons, but all will be delivered by the latter part of 2015. If you don't have a business you can gift the business perks to someone else of your choosing or I will exchange the business perks for a surprise gift (BUT you must contact me so that I know to do this). If you are receiving gifts to be mailed, and would like to include extra to cover postage please let me know so I can slip an extra little gift in your package.(Butterfly Dollars are like vouchers or cash and will be available to spend when the store is stocked and launched).
