Reading & Riding 4 Taylor

Hi.. My name is Lakisha Chisolm. I started this page for my daughter Taylor. Taylor is a 10 year old who underwent 3 brain surgeries in 2013. Before her surgeries Taylor was an Avid Reader until her seizures started to get worse. The seizures started to affect her memory... November of 2012 Taylor was at a 90% grade average, by Febuary of 2013 she was tested again. At this point Taylor tested at a couple of points above being classified as mentally retarded. The seizures took everything my daughter learned in 3 years away from her in 3 months. I made a Pinky Promise to my daughter after her last brain surgery that I would do whatever it takes to teach her how to read again... So I'm a single mom keeping a promise to my child... This started the Birth of "Reading & Riding 4 Taylor" ..... Now the journey begins...I've cleared out my bank account, in Faith, to start this journey and I'm believing God to supply everthing my kids and I need for this trip.  My goal is to reach out to as many schools and communities as I can to bring awareness to literacy and finding a curriculum that works for my child so she can learn to READ again!  Based upon what is raised in these 90 days, as we cross the United States of America, I plan to give a portion of the proceeds to Make-A-Wish, Dell Children's Hospital, The Ronald McDonald House, and a Literacy Program of my choosing.  Please share as many times as possible and thank you all for your support.
