Help fund teacher's Cuba institute

My name is Tom Lenihan and I'm a Social Studies Teacher at Yorktown High School and an Adjunct Professor at Marymount University both in Arlington, Virginia. I've been accepted as a participant at the Cuban Culture & Society Teacher Institute through Tulane University, June 20-July 4, 2015. While this is a very exciting & unique opportunity, it costs over $4,000. I am seeking $3,000 in donations & contributions from organizations, corporations, charities and/or individuals who see value in helping me cover my expenses. The total cost includes airfare to and from Havana, lodging, meals, medical insurance, academic visa, group trip excursions and course tuition for 3 credits through Tulane. I plan to share my experience and the new knowledge I will gain upon my return from Cuba with fellow educators and the students in my World Affairs classes. I am also happy to share what I learn with businesses or other organizations who donate and might be looking to invest in Cuba in the future.
