UNITED Against Dog-Fighting was founded in March of 2015 with the sole purpose of lobbying Kentucky legislators to strengthen Kentucky's anti-dogfighting laws. With much time, effort, will, and your help, we achieved our goal! Now, thanks to everyone who worked so diligently and YOU, it will be much harder for the criminals who participate in dogfighting to get away with their vile behavior!
We have since decided that while the new law is just what we wanted, there is so much more to be done. As as you may be aware, Kentucky is consistently ranked dead last, year after year, for animal welfare laws out of all the states in our nation. UNITED has decided it's time to change that!
Our new mission is to not only lobby for stronger animal welfare legislation, but to also step in whenever we see cruelty to animals taking place in our state and lend a helping hand. Whether it be using social media to draw attention to the cruelty, sending funds to help with vet and care costs whenever animals are rescued from cruelty situations, purchasing advertising for public awareness, alerting authorities and demanding justice, or lobbying legislators to strengthen the law, we will step up and do whatever it takes!
In order to accomplish these things and make Kentucky a safer place for animals we will continue to need your help and support. If you care about animals and want to end animal abuse you CAN make a difference! Please see the update section of this campaign to see what dire situation we are currently working on. With your help, we WILL get it done!
