My Father is 88 years youngs, lives at the Arizona Veterans Home. He has multiple health problems which all worries me. He has his good days and his bad days.
I can hear it in his voice how tired he is, how much pain he is in. Makes me very sad that I'm not there to see him whenever I want. I know that seeing me walk into his room would make him so happy and for sure perk him up!!
This man is a disabled Vet, having been in the Korean War and WWII. He's seen and been thru more horror than any one man should ever have to see, or feel for that fact in his life!!! So me walking in and surprising him will just make him feel so much better, even if it only for a few days.
I live in Colorado and I am having a very hard time raising money so I can go visit my father. My daughter gave me the wonderful gift of an airline ticket and hotel for my Birthday this month but.... I still need to get a rental car though just for the pure fact 100+ degree heat to walk in every morning and afternoon to walk down to the Veterans Home will be very hard on me. Not to mention I could use some money to eat on. I would also like to be able to bring my Dad his favorite lunch.. a lean corned beef sandwich on rye!! LOL
I miss him soooo much!!! It's been a few years since I've seen him. I just want to make this visit as memorable as possible because.... I know i wont be able to see my Father again for many mor years and that sadens my heart. I want to make this trip count!!!
So I'm asking all of my family and friends if ya'll wouldn't mind helping me reach my goal. I've been doing what I can on my part i.e. selling some of my personal belonging but it's just not enough, hate to say. And honesty, hasn't been going so well :-(
This was my very last resort, having to use Go Fund Me . This may be my last trip to see my Father Happy and coherent, I want to make some happy memories with him while I'm there, like playing Bingo. He loves to play Bingo. Last time I was there he TOLD me we are going to go play Bingo now, so, of course I did and I had a lot of fun!! When Mr. Dingott tells you your going to do something, you do it!! LOL
So, there it is. This is why I am asking for some help from ya'll. Thank you in advance!!! Bless you ya'll
