Raytown Let Our Light Shine

The City of Raytown received a grant to fund our new Downtown Streetscape with new sidewalks, pedestrian lighting, trees and landscaping. The project should be completed by mid summer and Raytown Main Street Association is planning a wonderful Winter Festival to showcase our new Downtown.
Raytown Main Street Association needs your help to"LET OUR LIGHT SHINE" and raise the funds needed for an extraordinary holiday lighting event so we can all join together to celebrate. We hope to create a winter wonderland of lights that will become a destination for the holidays and bring people from all over to enjoy our newly redesigned and rebuilt downtown block. We plan to create a display the whole community will be proud of. We hope to let our community pride shine as we light up the new trees, light poles, landscaping and two bridges leading in.
Commercial lighting is quite expensive however and we really need your help to make this happen. Although we will be providing the volunteer labor to install the lighting, the cost for the lighting and garland runs just over $27,000. We hope you can give a Christmas gift early of any amount. Your gift will help brighten the holidays for the many people that live here but also those that pass through our downtown. k
Raytown Main Street was formed in 2008. We are 100% operated by volunteers. We are funded solely by donations and memberships. This is not a taxpayer funded organization. We have sponsored the Holiday Lighting for the last several years, the Egg Extravaganza, Farmer's Market and Community Gardens.
