Help Grandma Jasper Beat Cancer!

In November 2014 I began to feel unusually weak and tired. I was hurting all over, but I have fibromyalgia, so I chalked up a lot of my pain to that. As things continued to get progressively worse through the winter I visited my doctor and several Urgent Care facilities. I was told that I was suffering from a slew of illnesses, including anemia and horrendously painful hemorrhoids. I was scheduled to have the hemorrhoids removed in the Spring.

Then my mother died, my focus shifted on to dealing with her estate and her burial. I was so devastated over the loss of my mom I couldn't think about the physical pain I was still enduring. My kids didn't want me living so far away with no family and a mystery illness that seemed to be getting worse. So my son and daughter in law insisted I make the journey across 3 states to be near them. My daughter came out to help me pack my belongings and my mother's estate. We loaded up a U-Haul with what we could, but unfortunately most of my personal belongings ended up in a storage unit 1000 miles away.

Upon arriving my daughter in law had done some research and found who she said would be able to properly diagnose me and take good care of me. OU Medical Center knew right away that I had been misdiagnosed time and time again. OU Medical Center sent me over to the Stephenson Cancer Center. It was then that I found out I have stage 3 squamous cell carcinoma of the rectum. It has already metastasized to my lymph nodes.

They started me on treatment immediately, however I had an awful reaction to the first round of chemotherapy. I need to meet again with my Oncologist to discuss what other options I have going forward.

My son and daughter in law are doing everything they can to help me, but at this point we have medical bills piling up every day and simply cannot afford all of my medications and all of my bills on top of theirs.

I want to live to see my grandson grow up, this has all been so sudden. I couldn't have prepared myself for what I have gone through over the last several months. Anything you can give to help me in this time of turmoil is greatly appreciated. God bless.
