Hi, my name is Raith and I am starting a karaoke business so I can support myself doing something that I love.

Some background on why I'm doing this gofundme and some history of why I really need to start to get this going soon.
Since I first came across karaoke, I have loved everything about it...especially running the shows. I had a great time working for others karaoke companies in the past. This is something I have been doing on and off over the past 15 years. But it was always for someone else.
The reason I am on gofundme asking for your help is this; I had a bad slip and fall at work back in 2006. Really bad pain in my L5-S1 area. Years of pain and not being able to work, eventually led to having back surgery because of it. The first surgery was a failure. The disc fusion never took or "fused" properly. I had to go back under the knife a year later to have it fixed. This new Dr. told me my diagnosis was "a 50% chance of me lessening your pain". It has kept me out of work since and a lot of the time I was bringing in barely enough to cover rent and bills from SSD.
This past November my disability income was cut down to 1/3 of what it used to be. My SSD would barely cover the rent and the bills. Then in Jan, my previous roommate moved out with very minimal notice, due to his Army job relocating him, so now ALL of the rent/house bills now fall on me. The SSD doesn't even cover the rent now.
It's tough to find a "normal" job that I can do with my back issues. I have permanent metal in my spine and I cannot sit nor can I stand still for more than 10-15 minutes at a time without major discomfort and pain. I have constant pain every day. I will have it for the rest of my life.
So I thought to myself, I should start a karaoke business and get myself working again and able to pay my bills. I love doing it and I know I am great at it, with all of those years of experience behind me.
I really don't have the means to afford the things I need to get this business up and running properly, so I decided to put this gofundme page together and see what happens. It will help in so many ways for me to afford to pay for the equipment.
Again, this is something that I love to do and would love to be able to do it for a living. Any amount you can donate will be a big help in getting this dream job up and running.
