Help 2.0 Get to the Games

When James Kelleher first joined Raincity Athletics, we called him '2.0' to make fun of our original James (Jimmy) and mock that this 'old guy' was the new and improved James... well... turns out we were right. 

2.0 defines dedication. It's been a long 2 years of training and he's met some serious hurdles, but the day has finaly come where his dedication has payed off. James '2.0' Kelleher qualified for the highest level of competition in the Sport of Fitness - he's going to the 2015 CrossFit Games.

"I am GLAD that this workout kicked me in the ass. A humbling kick in the ass is GOOD for the competitive soul. Our reach SHOULD exceed our grasp … if it was easy, why would we care so much about it?

And I’ll tell you right now: barring injury (or death) I am going to the games next year."

There's only one hurdle left in James epic journey to the games. Funding. CrossFit competitors are NOT paid to compete, as a matter of fact they pay to compete. They also pay for their own flights, rooms, gear, and everything in between.

We'll be selling custom '2.0' jersey's at Raincity Athletics as part of our fundraising effort for James, but every little bit helps. 

If you've ever crossed paths with 2.0, or you've watched him train in the corner grunting and groaning, or you've felt even just a little bit inspired by a 60 year old man kicking your ass, or maybe you just got yelled at for taking his rower... either way, show him some support and let's make sure his epic journey continues.
