On behalf of the Seattle Gaels,...

On behalf of the Seattle Gaels, and all of the friends and family of Ryan and Corinne, thank you. Ryan is making excellent progress. He is breathing on his own, eating real food, can now have visitors at the hospital, and has started what will be a long recovery.

The outpouring of support and love shown by this community of incredible people is just amazing.

SEATTLE, WA Medical & Healing

Friends and Family, approximately 45 days ago our good friend and fellow Seattle Gaels teammate, Ryan "Hollywood" Newitt, fell ill and was rushed to the hospital suffering heart failure. He continues to be in critical care with very serious pulmonary and respiratory problems. The Gaels are here to help, and with that, we would like to invite ALL OF YOU to join us and show your support and love for Ryan and Corinne.

Update on Ryan: He has remained under close observation in the UW Hospital since he fell ill. His recovery has been very slow and, though we remain optimistic and have seen very recent progress, we expect that it will be some time before he sees full recovery. Our good friend, fellow Seattle Gaels Teammate, and Ryan's loving wife, Corinne Newitt, has been by his side this whole time. She has been diligent to keep us all informed of his condition (as Ryan's condition has not allowed him the luxury of many visitors at all through his hospital stay) and has been a character of enormous strength through this very difficult time.
