Beyond the Pump Campaign

Beyond the Pump Campaign is working to advocate for climate change information labels at gas pumps across California and the USA. Working with local government, our team pushes lawmakers to write legislation that requires that consumers receive important information at the pump on how burning fuels may lead to future risks to the planet.
Our team needs resources to communicate with municipalities, as well as to reimburse for expenses associated with advocacy work. Our biggest challenges is in answering inquiries from media and partners, establishing an online presence, and having print materials for events. We also desperately need more funding to create videos and other avenues to spread the word. Using our own contributions, we created a short web video that you can see here: https://vimeo.com/114677056
Our current efforts in San Francisco and Berkeley are well under way and nearing final legislative approvals, but we're just getting started in Santa Monica, Oakland, Richmond and beyond. Help us gain the traction we need to create a meaningful contribution to addressing the transportation link to global warming. Consumers deserve to know what they can do, and where they can find resources that help individual reductions in gas use, and that is the primary goal of the labels.
Thanks!
