Help Katie and her family move

Donation protected
My name is David. My wife is Katie. We have 12 year old twin daughters, Kearstyn and Natalie. In 2010, Katie had open-heart surgery to replace her mitral valve due to a defect that has been there since birth, but was not discovered until she was an adult. That surgery took its toll on our family financially, physically and emotionally. We lost our home and had to move in with relatives because we could not survive on only one income. For 4 years her recovery was nothing but struggles and hardship due to medical bills. But we scratched and clawed our way back onto our feet. The last year we seemed to do really good with plans of moving into a new home. And then in February 2015, Katie had a stroke, and then another 2 weeks later. Her valve had clotting building up on it and was releasing bits of it that were traveling to her brain causing the strokes. The doctors did not want to operate again because she is such a high risk, but ultimately had no choice. So on March 13th, Katie went under for her second heart surgery in 5 years. When they opened her up they found massive scar tissue built up around her heart causing it to be enlarged. Due to this, they could no longer use the heart/lung machine that is typically used during open heart surgery. Instead, they had to use a circulatory machine. They feared it would cause another stroke but wouldn't be able to tell until she woke up. When she did wake up, it was pretty evident that she did in fact have another stroke. The good news is that she's on the road to recovery, as long as it will be. The bad news is during all this, our plans have crumbled once again. We have applied for disability for her but that may take a long time. I have never asked for any financial help from anyone through all of this (since 2010) but I'm afraid that I don't have a choice now. We are in need of funds to get us moved closer to town to save my job and to get us by until her disability is approved. I'm unsure of how much we may need because I have no idea how long all this will take. So I'm only asking for a goal of 8,000 right now. Just being here doing this is incredibly humbling to our entire family. But we know that something must be done. Thank you for your support.
