Help JJ make it to China
Lafayette, Louisiana ---> Shanghai, China
I need your support! I’ve been accepted into a year long teach abroad program in Shanghai, China! I will be leaving in the beginning of June to start this amazing job and adventure. I am currently raising money to help me make this opportunity possible.
I have a true passion for adventure but unfortunately having to working three jobs that fuel that passion has only gotten me so far. I have my visa, passport, and living arrangements all lined up but need a little extra help with the cost of the plane ticket and some other small expenses.
Donations will help fund:
1. Air fare
2. Equipment (laptop)
3. Moving expenses
For every donation you will recieve a special postcard from me
Any donation of $50.00 or more will receive my thanks in the form of a special 4'x6' limited edition print made just for this fundraiser.
Any donation of $100.00 or my you will recieve a personalize drawing as well as a limited edition print.

China has always been my top place to want to travel because I am extremely interested and inspired by Chinese culture and mythology. I use these stories, combined with my love for illustration and mural work to create a envisioned narrative of the tales found in Eastern lore. The opportunity to travel and live in China, a place of great inspiration to me will allow me to develop and evolve my work during this time and get a further grasp of eastern culture and mythology.
The past year I have been working as a part-time art teacher in Lafayette. I have really found a love for teaching and working with children. I am looking forward to gaining more teaching experience in a completely different setting. I am excited to share my culture with the students I will be working with, but also to bring what I learn back to the US to continue my creative teaching path.
