I am Lindsay, Debbie's youngest sister. Many people have expressed a calling to help Debbie with ongoing expenses. This is her story:
Debbie was diagnosed with Locally Advanced Invasive Ductal Carcinoma (Breast Cancer) in October 2014.
She had her first chemotherapy infusion December 26 and finished round one March 19. She will begin round two of chemotherapy on her 41st birthday (April 9th).
Debbie had just started a new full time job before being diagnosed. She worked full time until the end of January when she had to stop due to the adverse side effects.
Debbie is Mom to Braylie (19), Kevin (10), and Carson (7). Braylie lives in Roseau. Debbie Shares custody of Kevin and Carson with their dad.
With her family 600 miles away, she has been surrounded by her friends and church community whom have become family over the last couple years.
Throughout this journey, Debbie has tried her best to keep life as consistant as possible for the boys. Her possitive attitude and strong faith have been an inspiration to those around her. They celebrated the end of the first round of chemotherapy with a day at Norhtern Air in Grand Forks playing laser tag and jumping on the trampolines.
Although most of her medical expenses are covered through insurance there are ongoing expenses that are not covered due to her inability to work.
As we, her friends and family, continue to rally around her in support of this journey, every contribution helps.
