172nd Reunion Info (please review link for more details)
My husband is a combat Veteran who served with the 172nd Stryker Combat Brigade during Operation Iraqi Freedom in 2005-2006. He was part of the 1/17 IN, Alpha Co. He is an Artic Wolf and I am very proud of him and thankful for his service along with the service of so many others.
We were recently made aware that this brigade (his team) are having a 10 year reunion; a gathering, a memorial, a time to reconnect, a time to tend to old wounds. He needs this time like everyone else; though he lives with PTSD, he has been able to establish himself well into civilian and family life. (sorry for my phrasing, I am a post army wife...we met after he returned from Iraq and he was out of the Army.)
Long story short, we have 3 kids and a trip to Alaska for this reunion just isn't in the cards for him/us financially. His pride wouldn't allow him to ask another for help with something like this, in fact it is completely out of our character, but I believe with prayer and good faith I can work to at least get him there, even if I can't attend with him.
I appreciate any blessing, even if just a prayer, for us to make this healing trip happen for him. This lone wolf needs to find his pack of brothers once again.
Blessings.
