On a $35,000/yr. budget, Serve & Protect facilitates trauma services for first responders nationwide - for free.
Our crisis line accesses callers and we get them to the best solution for their needs, most often referring to trauma therapists. Every 17 hours a police officer commits suicide, and 85% have PTSD symptoms. We serve families and save laives through collaborative, compassionate comprehensive confidential care.
Our Trauma Response Vehicle is what we use to respond regionally for critical incident support, post incident debriefings, seminar presentations, and more.
It is a '99 Tahoe physically in great shape, with 220,000 miles, but mechanically, it is in the shop for a transfer case, started, and fuel injection system. Cost to repair is $3500, far cheaper than another dependable car - and we can't afford car payments.
