The Artrips Rent Fund

David (29), his wife Kayla (26), and their daughter Lorelei (1) could greatly use your help! In 2010, David was diagnosed with a rare and incurable disease called Fibrous Dysplasia. The disease caused a large bone-like tumor to grow in David’s sinus and skull. He has since been through four surgeries and unfortunately, although the majority of the bone tumor was removed, things have only gotten worse. David has suffered from chronic pain and sickness every day for five years now. He has visited countless doctors and specialists, tried countless different medications, and still has found no relief. 

This unfortunate situation has caused great hardships on the Artrip’s. Kayla has been working full time at a preschool and David has been forced to quit his job as he pursues approval for disability. David’s disability lawyer and doctor are confident he will eventually be approved, but his age and the lack of knowledge of his rare disease has made it difficult and the process is a slow one. In the mean time, the Artrip’s have struggled every month to pay rent. On top of the stress of chronic pain, constantly feeling sick, and the weight of not being able to provide for his family, David also has to deal with the immense stress of wondering if they will be able to pay the rent and have a place to live. Currently the three of them have been living in a one bedroom apartment in Baltimore, OH and have been relying solely on the generosity of family members and friends but there is only so much that they can do.

David and Kayla are trusting in God through all of this. Although things are difficult, they know their Heavenly Father will see them through. David is looking forward and hopeful to one day being able to go back to work if things were to improve, which they believe will happen. But for now, would you please help support David, Kayla, and Lorelei in paying their rent so that, despite all the hardships they are facing, they will be able to know that they have a place to live?
