PRAY FOR PARKER

July 7, 2014 was the absolute most life changing and special day of both our lives. We welcomed into this world our new purpose for living. Our first child, our first son, Parker Chase Diaz. Looking into our angel's eyes for the very first time created a whole new meaning of life for us both and we instantly became beyond excited to embark on this journey as first time parents to the most beautiful and most perfect little boy in the world. Parker Chase Diaz was born a healthy baby boy weighing 5 Pounds and 12 Ounces.  6 months into Parker's living, we began to notice unusual behavior on his behalf. Parker suddenly became overly congested and sick every other day. Being the overly passionate and concerned parent's that we are, we decided to take Parker to different certified specialists to gain information and insight on Parker's sudden medical and behavioral changes and for about a month, no one was able to provide concrete answers.
On Friday February 13, 2015 at approximately 4am, again, we noticed Parker acting strange. He was refusing to eat (which is extremely out of the norm) and he was crying excessively. We then decided to take his temperature, which revealed he had a very high fever. Immediately after, we rushed Parker to the Emergency Room. Once we arrived, the doctor quickly reiterated what we've been observing for the past month. He stated how, physically, Parker did not look good at all and he then proceeded to take several blood samples.

After taking these blood samples and running serval tests, not only were we notified that our precious baby boy had a bad RSV infection, but he was also diagnosed With Leukemia Cancer (A.L.L). After receiving the most horrific, devastating, and heart breaking news ever as parents, both of our worlds instantly crumbled! When you hear the word "cancer" the first thing that naturally pops into your head, sadly, is "death". At that exact moment, your mind unintentionally creates the absolute worst scenario due to all of the emotions that are circulating through your mind and body, failing to realize that Cancer is in fact treatable and can be controlled. So at that precise moment when those words were uttered to us, internally, we had died!

Watching our most sacred and prized possession being attached to so many machines including a respirator, oxygen tank, feeding tubes, and having an IV line in his neck was unbearable for us as parents to witness. But once we gained full understanding of Parker's condition, we realized that not only did Parker have a strong chance, but with the amount of strength that he possesses we were MORE than positive that Parker would overcome this obstacle. Parker was hooked on these different machines and tubes for only one week, which then gave us the message that we needed, assuring us that he will not only fight but ultimately beat this Cancer! Knowing how much of a fighter Parker is and how much he needs us and most importantly how much we NEED him, we had no choice as parents but to stand by his side while he fights this battle.

Right now we are asking for everyone's prayers and monetary donations to assist with Parker's medical bills/chemotherapy treatment which doctors say could run up to 2 1/2 - 3 years. Your generous blessings will also help towards our living expenses to help compensate for the lack of finances that will be generated between both parents. We understand this is not going to be an easy battle, but with your love, support and most importantly your PRAYERS, we know that all things are possible whenever faith is involved. We thank you so much in advance for all of your kind words, support and your contribution. Please feel free to contact us via email at [email redacted] if you would like to share any of your personal experiences , prayers, or just some kind words in general so that we can share it all with Parker once he over comes this battle .  THANK YOU

"Their laughter will make your heart melt, their strength will make a grown person cry, and if you ever see a child fight cancer, it will change your life FOREVER.
