We need your help and support for one of the athletes Positive-Strides.org is currently assisting! On September 9, 2014, former football stand-out, Stanley Doughty, will undergo critcial spinal surgery to help alleviate the pain and numbness he currently suffers as a result of a helmet to helmet collision he suffered while playing at the University of South Carolina several years ago. This Positive-Strides.org has been working closely with Stanley over the past several months to help make this happen and to help get Stanley "whole" again. Through the efforts of Positive-Strides.org, the organization has been able to secure donations from esteemed orthopedic surgeon, Dr. Donald Dietze, Jr., the Heart Hospital and the anesthesiologist. However, not all costs are covered and Stanley currently needs approximately $30,000 more to help cover the remaining costs of surgery and rehabilitation. This surgery will help mend Stanley physically which will go a long way in helping him mend mentally as well. Stanley is anxious to get back "in the game" of life even though he knows he is no longer able to contribute to the sport he loves. Your support will help Stanley get back on his feet and enable him to physically get back to work and be productive once again. You can read more about Stanley and his story in the following articles.
