Help me get a new car

My van needs a new engine, which will cost more than I paid for it, meaning it isn't worth getting fixed. I need a new vehicle so I can make it to work.

With a vehicle, I can't get to work. Without work, I don't make money. Without money, I, and more importantly my family, doesn't eat.

I hate asking for help, but I either ask, or don't have work. I'm looking for something closer, but folks these days are loath to speak face to face.
