Cycling for Change (C3 Europe)

The Sinclair Method is a medically proven way to treat alcohol use disorder (AUD), with a clinically proven long term success rate of 78%.  It uses an opioid-blocking medication called naltrexone, or nalmefene, to create pharmacological extinction of compulsive alcoholic drinking over a 6-12 month period.  Also proven effective for many other compulsive behaviours such as gambling, pornography addiction and kleptomania, this is an inexpensive but little-known treatment, using a generic, non-addictive medication that has been around for over 25 years.

For those of you not aware, and I know many of you are not, I began using The Sinclair Method in October 2013.   I now provide support and resources to others looking for information.

C3 Foundation Europe  is a not-for-profit organisation that I set up to help raise awareness of this effective treatment.  So far, the resources and information on the website have already helped many people regain control from AUD, using The Sinclair Method, in the past 12 months alone, and these are just the people I know of that I support through the process using email, phone and Skype.  I do this voluntarily and earn no money for it, whatsoever.

Working alongside the C Three Foundation in America, our goal is to help save the lives of alcoholics worldwide, by educating doctors, drinkers, families and friends of alcohol-dependant people.

THE RIDE

Taking in the hills of Yorkshire, England, this demanding but scenic 87 mile (140km) cycle ride on Sunday 3rd May 2015, will test my limits so soon after my winter hibernation!  :-)
