Gideon and Kimble and been married for nearly 6 years and have always dreamed of having their own little family. After 12 miscarriages, 1 ectopic pregnancy and removal of Kimble's fallopian tubes, Kimble was told her DNA structure was different and would forever infringe on her pregnancies.

Saddened by this life altering news, Gideon and Kimble made the decision to adopt, after considering all options.

Adoption in South Africa is very expensive and Gideon and Kimble used all of their savings to start the adoption process. They got their hopes up everytime they got 'matched' to a baby, only to be 'unmatched' shortly after.

After a couple of years, they were finally 'matched' and they became parents to their precious son Micah. However, several months later, it was discovered that Micah was very sick and that he had been sick since birth.  He was in desperate need for medical intervention which would cost around £3,000 (R50 000), just to start the treatment. On top of these costs there would be weekly medical costs for the rest of his life. Gideon and Kimble did not have this excess money as they had used all of their savings on the adoption of Micah. They were informed that he needed to be returned to the orphanage.

With much heartbreak and sadness, Gideon and Kimble signed his release back to the children’s home.  They had bonded; Micah in their eyes was their son and will always be.  He called Kimble Mama and Gideon Dada. They were a family. However, they allowed him to go back because they knew that his medical needs HAD to be looked after.  It was no longer about them, but about Micah and what that the precious boy needed to get better.  The state (by law) has a legal obligation to look after the children in their care.

After this 'failed' adoption, Gideon and Kimble have no more savings to try and adopt again. It is their biggest desire to be a family. They are at rock bottom.

We are asking those with big hearts to help them try again, to create a little family.

If you can't financially donate, please can you pray for firstly the healing of Micah, and secondly for the funds to come through so Gideon and Kimble can adopt again.

Blessings,
