There are several small towns such as King, NC who depend on community volunteers to improve parks and public areas. "Make a Difference in King" encourages you to join in on the positive movement, making a difference one project at a time. First big project: Build a one of a kind playground for King, NC.
Our purpose of bringing "Play by Design" to King is because they help provide opportunities for the community invovlement and to enhance our exisiting park systems in the city. PBD is a company based out of New York that focuses on community built playgrounds all across the country. They aim to offer the greatest number of play experiences.
The playground will supply ways for families to invest in the parks within our city and to help establish a sense of ownership and pride. A community built playground will promote continuous positive community service and encourage school involvement.
