I have found my next project.  "Dress a Girl Around the World"

They are taking handmade dresses to girls in impoverished countries. The pattern I will be using is actually a cute little dress made from a simple (yet pretty) pillow case.  If you'd like to donate pillowcases you can send to me at GeminiRed Creations, PO Box 1206, Lithia Springs, GA 30122-7206.  Or you can make a cash donation here and I will purchase pillowcases and supplies as well as package and send the completed dresses.  My goal is to provide 20 dresses for them to give to little girls!

8/12/12 - UPDATED!

Hello friends.  The colleciton of aprons is complete and now I'm on to other endeavors using my creative talents.  I hope you will consider helping me so that I can help others!

Craft Hope is now taking donations of skirts for women and young girls.  I want to come up with my own fabric doll pattern so I can make a bunch of dolls to give to little girls in need!

And, as always, I donate a portion of everything I sell to the Crohn's & Colitis Foundation.  You are welcome to make a donation here toward items I sell so that I can give more to CCFA or please refer people to my site so that I may increase my sales overall.  I am currently selling on Etsy, you can contact me on Facebook, and soon my new and improved website will be fully functional at www.GeminiRedCreations.com.

Hi everyone! I recently came across an awesome blog post about aprons for Haiti (see here - http://imaginegnats.blogspot.com/2012/06/craft-hope-aprons-for-haiti.html) and so I had to look into this further.  Many of you probably know that I started my little GeminiRed Creations business because of the want/need for an apron.  A little over a year later I still make aprons, but I also make just about anything that strikes my fancy or that people ask me to create.

So, of course, I knew I had to get involved with making these aprons.  From what I can tell many people have been sending 3 aprons.  I'd love to send at least 10 (although, on here I've set a lofty goal of raising $1,000 for this).  I'm setting up this page to raise money for purchasing fabric and supplies and to continue doing events like this.

Years before opening (and eventually closing) my salon I always knew that while owning a business I wanted to "give back" and do for others.  My goal has always been to give a portion of what I create and earn to those less fortunate or to help find a cure for things such as Crohn's and Colitis.  I give 10% of what I earn to them and would love to create wonderful products that inspire people to purchase them so that I can continue to give.  As well, as help me with projects like Craft Hope Aprons for Haiti.
