2018 Pi Day Pedal for Preemies
The Electrochemical Society (ECS) of Lewis University is hosting a Pedal for Preemies event in honor of Pi Day (3.14.18). The volleyball coaches, Dan and Lorelee, had a daughter who was born premature. Rae was born on June 5, 2016 and she was 1 pound and 3 ounces. Since she was born at the Loyola Unviersity NICU, ECS will be donating the proceeds from this event to her caretaking unit at a home volleyball game against Loyola on 3.17.18 at 7:00 PM.
Pedal for Preemies is a 24 hour event where people will have the opportunity to ride a stationary bike that will rotate a 5 foot diameter wheel. We will calculate how many pi's are generated at the end of the event and there will also be demo shows and fun activities for kids.
The event starts on Tuesday, March 13 at 4:00 PM and will conclude on Wednesday, March 14 at 6:00 PM.
