Long term prognosis:
Due to some early difficulties with obtaining physical therapy and on going issues with continuing sessions, my knee was diagnosed a flexation contracture which means I can only bend my knee about 90 degrees (135 degrees is normal) and can straighten my knee to about 20 degrees (-5 degrees is normal). Due to the severity of the contracture, there's nothing that can be done to correct it. The femur itself healed fine, it was just the muscles that deteriorated due to lack of movement. Certainly, most of this was my fault for not exercising it as much as I should have but if you've ever been homeless, you'd know having a set exercise routine is easier said than done. But I can still gain some more range of motion with physical therapy sessions which is what I need funds for now as well as catching up on medical bills. As of now, I am able to walk but I have a pretty bad limp and I can't stand for long periods but things are certainly getting better.
Paul Clough broke his leg on 1/24/19 on the way to work in San Antonio. He was uninsured at the time and has been on limited income since.
Paul’s current needs are help paying some past due bills and current bills as well as physical therapy sessions which run around $100 each

Paul mainly grew up in Colorado and Montana and has lived in Central Texas since 2004. He has spent much of the past 15 years participating in medical research studies which has sustained him for the most part and allowed him to enjoy the great outdoors and travel to places like Alaska and the Midwest! He ran a website that helped people find out about participating in medical research studies. Paul was recently on a VICE on HBO episode “Lab Rat Nation” where he shared some of his thoughts about being a “Lab Rat”. He is also a furry and makes and sells tails at furry conventions. Let's help Paul get back on track and onto a brighter future!
