Help send PAT members to Labor Notes!

Donation protected
Last month, Portland teachers came within two days of going on strike. We were able to win a contract that improves our working conditions and our students' learning conditions because we prepared to walk and organized a campaign that received widespread public support. There are so many important lessons from our struggle that we would like to share with the broader labor movement.

At the same time, our struggle was successful because we took inspiration from the Chicago Teachers Union and other labor struggles that came before ours. We think it is crucial our union continues to learn from the broader labor movement as we figure out next steps in our struggle for the schools Portland students deserve.

Please help send a delegation of Portland teachers to the Labor Notes conference in Chicago so we can continue this project in Portland and share the lessons of our fight with the broader labor movement. Though our union would love to send us, our funds have been depleted during the strike build up and because of this we are depending on you. We appreciate any support you can give us!
