I am raising money to cover a portion of tuition and travel costs for me to obtain a Masters of Biblical Counseling degree from Faith Bible Seminary (FBS).

Why am I pursuing a Masters of Biblical Counseling (MABC)?

I believe I am responding to a call to bring counseling back to the local church and make an impact by bringing help and hope to hurting and struggling people. This last winter I took one class to test myself to see if I could adjust to the time required for Masters level study. I've decided to proceed with taking two classes per semester and graduate in 2021.

On a mission to strengthen the hearts of hurting people!

There is nothing like witnessing the Spirit of God working through the Word of God to bring healing and restoration to weary hearts. Biblical counseling is a life calling that I can't imagine not doing until the day I die. There is hope and healing in the Gospel of Jesus Christ. What a privilege it is to walk alongside others!

For the past 10 years I have enjoyed giving myself to service as a teacher, counselor, student worker, and community group member at my local church. I've also earned certification in 2016 with the Association of Certified Biblical Counselors . For the past two years I have facilitated basic biblical counseling training for 150 people.

I have a vision of training others in Biblical Counseling with excellence. The local church I attend, and the surrounding area, needs many more counselors and one of the main barriers is qualified teachers. I would love to be in a spot someday to start and run a training center out of my local church.

In addition, I see a community based biblical counseling center serving all members of the St. Croix Valley. I believe that obtaining a MABC degree will equip me to influence or lead the development of this counseling center.

How will the money be used?

I've estimated that tuition, books, and travel will be near $17,000. There are travel costs because I'll need to attend week long module courses at the FBS campus in Lafayette, Indiana twice a year. I'm only asking for $8,500 because my current plan is to fund half of the total expenses from my household budget.

When will the money be needed?

Since I am taking two classes each Spring and Winter terms I will need to costs every April and Oct.
