Hey you. My name is Paris Irene Cannon. I'm 22, and dancing is my passion; my life.
This fundraiser is for Vertigo Contemporary Dance in Israel (http://www.vertigo.org.il/index_eng.asp) It's a 5 month long training program, where all I do is immerse myself in dancing. I know that this is exactly what I need to do for myself to improve and grow as a dancer. I've never been so driven, nor have I worked so hard for a creative process. Dance is my passion...I want to pursue it as long as I can; I know myself. When I am so driven, determined, excited, and constantly willing to move forward...I know I have found something that I am deeply passionate for, and that's dance.
However, I can't do this alone. Too often I have been stumped and told I couldn't do something that I really enjoyed or cared about due to financial struggles. This program is expensive for me alone. I currently work two jobs, and dance full time. I'm trying to save as much as I can, but I am on my own. If you have any desire to help me pursue my dream, anything helps. If you provide me with your address I would LOVE to send you a postcard in return! I truly consider your appreciation and time even acknowledging my commitment! Thank you.
Tuition: $9.400. This does not include flight or food. I was given a $3,000 scholarship, and NOW a $4,500 scholarship.
The first $3,800 is due by December 20th.
