Pablo's Medical/Rehab Fund

Donation protected

Earlier this summer, Pablo, a teammate of ours, suffered a serious injury doing what he loves you to do -- playing baseball. On a routine pop fly, Pablo and a teammate collided trying to secure the out – which, of course, Pablo did.

Unfortunately, Pablo's leg was planted when the collision occurred, and he went down in agony once the play was over. He had to be rushed to local hospital in Nashua with what appeared to be serious knee injury. The news only got worse as updates were coming in over the next few hours/days.

He dislocated the knee, suffered multiple tears in his ligaments in his knee and developed a life-altering blood cut when his veins/arteries were “pinched” during the injury. The blood cut almost caused Pablo to lose his leg, but after a few surgeries the doctors were able to repair the injury. He has had several surgeries since to repair the rest of damage to his knee/leg, including skin grafts, etc. As of today, he still needs to reconstructive surgery on the knee.

After a month+ stay at the Lahey Medical Center in Mass, Pablo was finally released to his wife, Marisol and step-son Elijah, who have been there by his side while he recuperates and rehabs. But Pablo faces a long, hard road to recovery and mounting medical bills.

In the short time I have known Pablo, he has ability to make you smile, while also teaching the fundamentals of baseball. During the winter, he was always in the cages working with his step-son on honing in his skills. Since being released from hospital, Pablo, being the baseball fan he is, has come to a couple games recently to root for us, even though he is still confined to a wheelchair.

The team and league has been very supportive for him, helping out as much as possible, but with the long recovery and medical bills starting to trickle in, his family needs our help as he has been unable to work since the injury occurred.

Please consider donating to Pablo and his family, so that he can recover without the added monetary pressure from medical bills that have started to come in.

From the Paredes family and his IronPigs baseball family, we thank you for your kindness and any donation to his cause.

I ask everyone who sees this please share with as many friends, family and baseball brothers.

Thank you!
