Kelly Champlin Church Benefit

Dearest Family & Friends:

This past Christmas my family and I learned that my sister Kelly was diagnosed with infiltrating ductal carcinoma (breast cancer). She has not been able to work since she began her treatment in January 2012. She underwent 12 weeks of Chemotherapy which successfully shrunk the tumor by 75%. She is now completing another 12 weeks

of Chemotherapy and only has two weeks to go! She will then have a Lumpectomy performed at the end of June 2012, followed by radiation treatments 5 days a week for 6 weeks.

Kelly has remained very positive through all of this, her faith has kept her strong, and her family and friends have been very supportive. Kelly has two beautiful children, her son Riley who is 16 and will be a Junior in the fall at Ellsworth High School and her daughter, Sydney who is 19 and will be a Sophomore at Ripon College in Ripon, WI. Kelly’s husband, John is one of the hardest working people that I know and is doing all he can to support his wife and children during this time.  However, the expenses continue to add up and I would like to set a goal to raise $12,000 to help with their medical costs and other bills.

We will be having a benefit for Kelly in Ellsworth, WI on Thursday,   August 16^th, 2012 (4:30-8:00 p.m.) at English Lutheran Church, 229 W Main St. Ellsworth, WI 54011. We will be serving hot beef  sandwiches, beans, chips & homemade desserts.  We will have music, entertainment, silent auction, and door prizes.  I will post a flyer with all of the details and I will update this link with any changes or pertinent details.

Please come join us at the benefit and show your support for my sister and our friend, Kelly & her family.  I know that Kelly is one of the first people to help others in need and I want to show her all the love and support she has in her fight against breast cancer.  I want her to know that she is not alone and that she is worthy of this cause.
