Matt M. Mathews Memorial Fund

Donation protected
On March 12th, 2015, Matt Mathews, a seasoned veteran and talented pilot for Eagle Med, passed away tragically in a helicopter crash in Oklahoma. He was returning to McAlester after transporting an accident victim to a medical center in Tulsa. Matt saved the lives of the onboard nurse and paramedic. He was a beloved son, father, brother, uncle, and fiancé. He loved deeply and was dedicated to those in his life. Matt was an extrodinary individual who reached out to the people that were in his path no matter who they were. He spent his life reaching out to others. He used his GI bill to set up a convalescent home. He put others before himself. He died in the act of saving others' lives.

Due to circumstances beyond our control, Matt's life insurance will not cover his 16-year-old son's future or the financial obligations due to Matt's tragic death. We have been approached about how one could help in a seemingly helpless situation. We ask that you consider contributing to his memorial fund to help with some of the financial burdens of the funeral and many other expenses.

Thank you for your outpouring of love at this very sad time. We appreciate your prayers, thoughts, and your consideration of a donation.
