Tommy DAmbrosio Memorial Fundraiser

On March 18th, 1995, we lost Tommy D'Ambrosio at the age of 19.  As the 20 year anniversary of his passing is upon us, his family has decided to have an event in his memory.  Part of the fundraising from the event will go to having nationally acclaimed motivational speaker Chris Herren come to Winthrop High School to speak to the students about the dangers of substance abuse.  This event is being coordinated with the Viking Pride Foundation, 11 Foundation, Winthrop Charities and CASA.  Other funds will be going to substance abuse awareness in the Winthrop Community, with our families hope that any tragedies such as Tommy's passing can be avoided, to save parents, siblings, relatives and friends from the pain and sadness of losing someone so wonderful.  Lastly, proceeds will go to the Thomas D'Ambrosio Memorial Scholarship at Winthrop High School that goes to the "Unsung Hero" graduating senior from the football team each year, the same award Tommy won his senior year at Medford High School.  Any consideration is eternally appreciated from Tommy's family.
