Veteran Homelessness Snow Challenge

Donation protected

The most recent report on Veterans currently facing homelessness in the United States brought the number in at 49,933 or roughly 50,000.

Operation Yellow Spear has been fighting this epidemic as part of their "Veteran Outreach and Response Team" They have spent over 70 hours out on the streets of Sussex County Delaware looking for these Veterans. They have bought food and delivered it to these Veterans.

They have gone grocery shopping and worked with local organizations to start a food bank for these Veterans.

This has all been done in the hopes of helping these Veterans experiencing homelessness to find and develop a relationship with God, show them someone cares and hopefully give them some hope.

The founder, and published Author, Richard Pope (see image below) has agreed that if $150 dollars is raised by Sunday January 24th at 8 a.m.... He will spend 50 seconds laying in the snow in just his swim trunks!

The 50 Seconds is symbolic and servers as a tribute to the approx. 50,000 homeless Veterans on the streets during Winter Storm Jonas.

Richard has agreed to post a Video to the Operation Yellow Spear page (see link below) as well as to this Go Fund Me page!

The Funds used will go towards buying food, clothes, winter survival gear, and bibles for these homeless Veterans!

So click donate to help a good cause, and watch Richard freeze!
