Campground development

Living in a remote community has its drawbacks. The main one being employment. We aim to set up a campground and backcountry guided tours company. This will include, canoeing, hiking and ATV tours in the summer months and snowmobile, snowshoeing and cross-country skiing in the winter. We will offer day trips and multi day trips. The long-term plan is to build some guest cabins, so we can accommodate more people. As well as increase the variety of guided trips we offer. I would eventually like to put in a restaurant at our campground as well. The long-term plan also includes creating many local jobs and dramatically increasing the number of visitors to the Robson Valley. This in turn, will open doors to new business, as well as existing ones.

On top of this I plan to get experts in certain fields to come and give talks and classes on their chosen professions. For example; A wildlife photographer taking a class on that subject, in an environment where you will really learn those skills. Or a wild food expert teaching you how to forage off the land. The opportunities are endless, and the potential is huge.
I want to appeal to all ages and ablities. Opening the great outdoors to people from all walks of life.

We purchased the property in 2015 and are now looking for help with funding the development of this business. Ideally, I would like to crowd fund this project and put the investment back into the local community. This would be on a yearly basis with a percentage of our profits going straight back to the Robson Valley. The percentage would very much depend on the amount of money we raised, but with a minimum of 3% yearly. If we manage to crowd fund more than the $5,000 target, we will increase that percentage. I would ideally like to raise $20,000 and if this target is reached we will put 15% of our profits back into the community yearly.

The reward levels are all only redeemable once we have the site up and running. If you want to learn more about the project please don't hesitate to get in touch.
