Fund for Teresa's Last Wishes

The past few years have been very hard on Teresa Rainville and her family.  It all started when she had a dangerous seizure at her house which caused her to be rushed to the hospital. They did a scan of her brain and found a tumor. And if that wasn't bad enough, she soon went blind. The brain surgery also hindered her ability to speak, and struggles to communicate as easily as she used to.  All these events took place in less than a year. Her husband is completely devoted to her and her happiness and taking on all these unexpected new responsibilities takes a toll on him emotionally, but he never complains because he loves her so much and puts her happiness before his own. Unfortunately, her diagnosis only got worse when they recently found 3 more tumors. This is her husband's latest Facebook post of her current status:

"Well we met with the Dr. from UCSF and frankly the prognosis is less than wonderful.
There are actually 3 main masses of menengioma. One on the left side surface of her brain. One on the frontal lobe and one on the brain stem.
Traditional surgery would allow the removal of most but not all of the first two. The one on the brain stem is inoperable, because of the risk of paralysis.
He has ordered a PET scan. If that shows it has spread to other parts of her body, there is nothing they can do, and the tumors will continue to grow resulting in paralysis, and ultimately cause her death.
If it has not spread, they feel they can do what is called Gamma Knife surgery, which is basically a high energy form of pinpoint beam type of radiation which will reduce the size of the frontal and side masses. They will then do direct radiation on the one on the brain stem to retard its growth.
This will delay the inevitable but bottom line, things do not look good. "

He told me that when the doctor asked Teresa what she would like to choose to do, fight or enjoy the last part of her life left, her first response was "I don't want to be a burden". That's heartbreaking, but it's also the way Teresa is. She is the most selfless person I know, and she has never ONCE complained about any of this happening to her. I wanted to start this fund FOR her. She can do what she wishes with any money, whether it be something she's always wanted to do or help pay for any medical expenses which I'm sure have been astronomical. They are such humble people though and would never ask for money, which is why I decided to take this step.

If you can't afford to donate anything, I just please ask to take a moment of your time to maybe type a quick message or words of encouragement for Teresa and her family. Just something so they know how much they are cared for, just like they care for others.Teresa's Facebook
