Help Us Get Our Stuff Back

Donation protected
I blog and take photos for my site that's called A Little Moxie (http://www.meriahnichols.com).  I am deaf, and passionate about disability advocacy. My daughter has Down syndrome.

As a family we travel a lot. I record the travels, "road school" and more through photos that I take and stories that I write on the blog. Of course it is all for free and I don't make money off of the blog.

i also write a lot about disability - general disability issues as well as more specific issues and perspectives related to Down syndrome and being deaf.

While in Mexico, we stopped by a roadside diner to eat. While we were eating, someone broke into our truck and stole my laptop, both of my cameras, the iPhone, iPad, kindle fire, and iPod.

My laptop had hundreds of essays on it as well as an unbacked up book that I was writing. The book was related to disability and employment - what a parent of a child with a disability can do to help prepare their child for a future career.

The cameras were my tools for taking all the photos that I post on the blog.

While some of what was stolen can never be replaced, some of it can.

The cost of actually replacing everything is over $7,000. We will use the rest of our travel money to replace what we can, but if you are able and willing to help chip in, I can get back to the blog and telling these stories and sharing the photos.

Whether or not you chip in, I just want to say how much my family and I truly appreciate all of the love and support that have come our way.

Thank you.
