For those of you who can...
For those of you who can read Ukrainian, yesterday the children of "Oranta" staged a spring concert for a visiting journalist. Read about it and see all the concert photos here http://droginfo.com.ua/content/view/3204/ and don't forget to view see the YouTube vids too. The article also speaks to current needs of the children and building renovations required as at March 15, 2012. The building itself was built during the times of the Austrian Empire and Franz Joseph so one can see why major renovations are needed. That's not all that needs fixing, there is also the sinks, and pipes to change, new kitchen shelves, the tables and benches are old too. So, please help.

The children’s orphanage “Oranta” is located in the city of Drohobych, Lvivska oblast (province). First established in September of 1997, the institution cares for about 35 children, aged 3 to 17. However, the orphanage does not meet all the standards required for housing orphanages.
Every second or third year, the Vice-President Ihor Cap and Recording Secretary Dariya Dyryk-Cap of the Ukrainian Canadian Social Services-Manitoba Branch (UCSS-MB) visit the orphanage to examine their most urgent needs and help with them financially as best we can. $2000.00 dollars goes a long way in Ukraine and can help cover significant costs. That is why we set as our goal to raise $2000 for our next trip that is scheduled for the summer of 2014.
We pay our own way to fly out there. All funds raised here go to the Oranta orphanage except for the 5% per transaction fee that GoFundMe receives and the 2.9% plus .30 cents fee that Paypal takes per transaction too. All funds are accounted for in our Project Updates.
