Funeral for Cancer Patient

They held an auction, but that didn't raise the funds that were needed for the funeral and medical expenses. We're going to be holding a yard sale to sell everything that we can possibly live without to raise more of the funding. The medical bills are way over $30,000 and that isn't including what we owe one person in the family for my dad's cremation. That is almost a grand, more if anyone else decides that they want us to pay them back where they helped to pay for the funeral and cremation expenses.
My dad was diagnosed with stage 4 cancer of the liver and lungs back in Feb. He was in and out of the hospital several times in the last month of his life. It started off as pneumonia, then to fluid on the lungs and they drained that, done radiation and chemo and then told him it was cancer. His bills alone are well over $30,000 for just one hospital stay.
He only had disability and it did't cover all of the medical fees that they had accumulated over the last month. One time he was admitted for well over a week, then another was close to a week... and the same thing for the other two times.
Right now, my mother is on pins and needles. They didn't have life insurance and didn't qualify for it due to their health. He passed on 3/15/15 at 9:20pm at the Cookeville Regional Hospital. Mom knows that with the medical bills and the other things coming... I prefer not to mention in details but sure you get the idea... she can't afford it.
The photo I've attached is of my mom and dad. It was taken several years ago, but it's the only really good one that I have of the two of them.
