Help Mom and Son Find a Home

Donation protected

Angie is a disabled woman with a 9 yr old autistic son. Earlier this month (March) they lost their place to live. Through the kindness of friends, they were able to find temporary housing for a few days in a motel, but now they are desperate to find a home.

Unfortunately, Angie makes her living through blogging and Patreon donations, a method not recognized by landlords in the area as a source of income. As a result, she has been told that unless she can raise a full years rent, she won't be granted a lease.

She has no family in the region that she can stay with, no local friends that she can couch surf with in the meantime, and only a few days left at the motel. It is essential that she find a place for her and her son as soon as possible.

Due to his autism, Kid needs to stay in the same school system as well and can't handle living in places like shelters.

The money will go to put a years deposit on an apartment. They are looking for a small 2 bedroom and can afford to pay rent up to $1400 a month. The area is somewhat pricey, but they are looking into different locations that fall within the school zone.

Please donate to keep this great woman and child from being homeless and to help a great autistic kid in a helpful school environment.

The money will be used as follows:

1. As a deposit on a place to live.

2. Any money above what is needed as a deposit will be used to buy furniture, especially a bed for Kid and one for Angie if possible.

3. In the unlikely event that money is still left over, it will be used as savings for future months, or to buy food/replace the clothing and item that had to be left behind.
