OperaRox Presents is an extension of the online opera community, OperaRox. OperaRox exists digitally on Tumblr , Twitter , and Livestream and as meet-ups in NYC at the Metropolitan Opera. We've been mentioned by mezzo Joyce DiDonato in her Juilliard Masterclasses and in her OperaNews Q&A.
OperaRox Presents will produce its first full-length opera, Mozart's Le Nozze di Figaro, this August in NYC and we need your help! Started by Kimberly Feltkamp and Jaimie Appleton, OP strives to provide opportunities for young singers to learn and perform important roles in a safe and encouraging environment. Most of the singers are performing their respective roles for the first time.
The funding will cover the fees for our performance venue (Opera America), minimal props/sets, and travel expenses for our director.
