Dancing Their Way to Ireland
Foothill High School senior Caitlyn Peal, Venture School senior Erin Richards and Dublin High School senior Juliette Chabot, all with the McGrath Irish Dancers of Dublin, CA have qualified for the CRN World Open Irish Dancing Championships located in Castlebar Ireland coming up in June 2015. The 3 seniors along with the McGrath Irish Dancers will be performing at several events to help raise funds for their trip overseas. These events include dancing at Castlewood Country Club for the St. Patrick’s Day Dinner Celebration and at Gallaghers Pub in Dublin. The girls have been dancing for over 12 years with the McGrath Irish Dancers under the direction of Valerie Deam. The dancers have performed for many events including half-time shows for Stanford & Berkeley basketball, San Franciso Giants Irish Heritage Night, St. Patrick’s Day Festivals in Dublin, Theaters for ballets and symphonies, weddings, and many other performances in the Bay Area. The dancers have also traveled to many destinations for National Dance Competitions most recently in Las Vegas and in past years in New York, Washington D.C., Disneyland and San Francisco. The girls are looking forward to this next destination to Ireland and appreciate all donations. Thank you for your generosity.
