OneManBand Launch

I am a high school music teacher in Fergus Falls, MN. I teach high school band, beginning band, marching band, and jazz band. I recently made a video for my graduating seniors that got some attention. It was showcased on CBS Evening News, NBC Nightly News, Inside Edition, CBS Sunday Morning, Good Morning America and many local stations.

This experience has been a turning point for me.  I have found the confidence to follow a dream of mine to start a YouTube channel and dive into some of the aspects of the musical world that fascinate me. I plan to:

-interview artists from the professional and academic world to discuss all things music related
-create beginning lessons accessible to anyone
-create new recordings playing music by myself and with friends ​
-stream charity music events on YouTube
-review music products in an approachable manner 

I have already started creating some of this content with borrowed equipment. Check out  My YouTube Channel for some samples of what I want to do.

I need your support to get this off the ground as fast as I can. The computer, editing software, camera, instruments, lights, and all the accessories to pull this off are outside of my resources. I've set "benchmarks" to show how I will be using each portion of the donations

$3000- Mobile Audio/Video Set-Up
$6500- Computer
$7000- Studio Lighting
$8000- Misc accessories and instruments
$8000+ - Rent office/studio space

If this all goes well and the funds I receive go above and beyond my initial goals I am going to start looking at renting a studio space to take this to the next level. Right now my recording schedule fluctuates depending on the train schedule, my neighbors dogs, and anyone mowing their lawns :). Thank you so much for considering supporting this exciting endeavor.
