Hello,
My name is Omid Barekatein. Omid means hope in Farsi, Barekat means God willing and -ein is a suffix for two times and much. So this is me doing what I love to do. Sharing the fruit of the world!
Let me tell you what I mean. I live in Seattle, born and raised, my mother grew up in Yakima in eastern WA.
When I visit my grandparents in the summer, I bring back all kinds of fruit. In the '90s in elementary school I started bringing back fruits for family, friends, teachers and classmates. I saved up my allowences to bring back all kinds of peaches, apricots, cherries, pears, grapes...
Fast forward a couple of decades- I have a bachelors degree in biology with a stable "career" managing a dental office. I have professionally cooked, baked, fermented/distilled with grapes, blackberries, red raspberries, apricots, hops... Most of my ingredients come from my garden, my grandparents garden and also my neighbor has about 30 fruit trees and lets me pick heavily : )
Back to the reason were here, I want to make you WINE! Its called Reward Red Wine.
All Washington State fruit.
The money donated will be for the purchase of grapes for juice, bottles & barrels for aging, rental equipement and storage.
