Help Send Alyssa to Chile!

Dear Family and Friends,
I have been presented an opportunity that has been in the works for over a year now to share the love of Jesus to the people of Santiago, Chile! I am extremely excited to say that I am planning on traveling to Santiago this June through August and was presented this opportunity by Julian Pizarro, the college pastor at Champion Forest Baptist Church in Houston. Julian and his family left for Chile about a year ago to help start a church through our home church in Houston and reached out to me to come join him for the summer. I would be living with a family in Santiago, working with the children’s ministry, singing in the church’s worship service and connecting to the people of Chile while strengthening my Spanish skills. I am so incredibly excited to be following the Lord to Chile and truly know that this desire to go there is from Our Father. I will be completely out of my comfort zone, such as living with a family that barely speaks English, as well as being challenged to share the love of Christ. I’m nervous but so excited to see how God plans to use my gifts for His plans!

I am so thankful for this opportunity to be the hands and feet of Jesus this summer! I do, however, need your help. Most importantly I need prayers.

Please feel free to pray for the following:
-The time spent with the people of Santiago
-Conversations that glorify God
-To hear God’s voice as well to see His will
-Safety traveling to Chile and home
-Strengthening my Spanish skills and working through the language barrier
-Julian and his family, as they continue to minster to the people of Santiago
-And anything else you feel led to pray for, of course!

I'll to raise about $2,800 by the time I leave, which is early June. This includes my housing, food, transportation and my flight. If you feel led to contribute financially or through airline miles, that would be a blessing and most greatly appreciated. Nothing is too little!
