Tape Meehan

It's my turn to be stuck on a wall. But I will ONLY be taped to the wall if we hit $1000. My DECA students have worked extremely hard all year long. We are ENTIRELY self funding meaning we receive no money from anywhere (including the district). They overcome MANY obstacles that their competition does not have just so that they can compete. I would be more than happy to have a conversation about that with anyone that is interested.

Even against the odds, they have won at the District Level, and went on to win at the State Level. The next level is the International Competition. Students from all over the world will be competing in Orlando, Florida on April 25-28. This is an incredible opportunity for these kids. Airfare, hotel, registration, etc. will be costly. The price of success has depleted our funds, and already put a heavy burden on the families.

The best part of being the advisor for these kids is that they ENJOY the community service component of our DECA chapter. Canned food drives, raising money for charity, etc. consumes a lot of their time and effort. They could spend that energy preparing for competitions or even the money for themselves. They choose to serve others first. I couldnt be more proud of a group of young adults who are truly ready to be leaders in their community. Please help support them!
