Nuke the Leuk!

On April 1st, 2015, we learned that Frank, the sole provider for our family of 5, had leukemia. Over the next few weeks, we waited on a bone marrow biopsy to confirm a diagnosis. When it finally came back, it was the best prognosis we could have hoped for, Chronic Myeloid Leukemia, a treatable form of blood cancer. We felt like we could breath again, until the reality hit us, even with insurance coverage, the time off work, ER visit, hospital stay, countless labs, and doctor visits were adding up quickly. Within weeks we were drowning in medical bills. We learned the medication needed to treat this disease and save Frank's life would cost right under $200, every month, for the rest of his life. We have been hesitant to ask for a hand up, but after exhausting all other available resources, here we are. It is our hope to raise enough to temporarily assist with treatment costs, as we fight our way into remission and find a new normal for our family.
