As summer is approaching we are hoping to enjoy all the things that come with summer, Birthday parties, softball games and family outings. Loading and unloading all of Kaylas stuff has become a big part of this and it is the least fun. Now that we have kayla's stroller we take that with us to so when kayla gets to tired she can switch over, our van is loaded to the max with 2 chairs and 2 kids and all the other stuff that goes with. thank you to all of you who have donated or shared, please continue to do so we would love the freedom of a van that fits our needs.
Thank you all.
I just sent our 13 thank you emails all from 1 days donations. We cant thank you enough for all the funds that have been raised and we feel empowered from all the love. our page said we had 131 visits yesterday.
Im so excited about the donations that have been coming in, I think this is the most activity we have seen on this sight. Thank you All :):)
thank you so much to all who have donated in honor of Mothers day and a special thanks to Juanita Martus who suggested donations in honor of her Birthday, we feel very blessed :)
We now have Kayla's stroller to pack around with us in our van, this makes the loading and unloading a bit tricky. We have a great opportunity if we reach our goal a program Kayla is in will pay up to $20,000 of a modified van, it is our goal to make that happen this year. If you can help us that Is great if not we understand.
We had 66 visitors to this page yesterday. Wow! thats awesome. Thank you to those who donated and to those who read our story. we are always amazed and overwhelmed by the Love we receive.
We are thankful for yet another Donation made to Kayla's Van fund :):)
Wow! yet another amazing donation. Thank you all who give and share this page with others. im so grateful to all who care about kayla and are there to show your love for her and us.
Im so humbled this morning by all the recent donations. we are slowly but surely reaching our goal. every bit helps more than you know. Thank you.
i wanted to let everyone know that there has also been a bank account set up by my Mom for any donations that are given to us not through this site. any little helps. :)
im feeling very blessed by the recent donations. its good to know people havent forgotten about our efforts to raise money for a newer van for kayla.
thank you so much to a special person for your donation. :)
I'm wanting to get an inverter installed in the van to run kaylas cough assist so that when she is a little junky we don't have to be home bound and can just bring it with us. Please help us raise money so we an just install it once in a new van.
going to have a scentsy party for kayla Oct 7th. more details to come.
please consider making a donation or taking part in one of our fundraisers. we have raised just over $1,000 and our goal is $18,000. you can see our fundraisers posted on kaylas Facebook page (mobility for kayla). we would give to reach our goal and get a rear entry modified van for kayla.
Check out our Facebook page, mobility for Kayla. Let's restart this people. Keys get Kayla her van.
Just a reminder that we are still doing a scentsy fundraiser for kayla. I posted a direct link on our Facebook fundraiser page, that will take u directly to kaylas party. We need your help :)
Our current van is still broken, borrowing a van from a very gracious friend. We now have a Facebook page for Kayla called, mobility for Kayla fundraiser. Remember if you need scentsy we are still doing a fundraiser.
I changed our goal amount because I have recently found out we will not need as much as I originally thought. This means we are a little closer than I thought.
Please consider helping us reach our goal towards a modified van for Kayla :)
Our camping trip was so fun, besides the rain and bugs. Seeing Kayla independent and seeking out social interaction was the icing on the cake. I love that being with our SMA friends I can allow her to be under another parents watch and trust that she is well watched after, even if just for a short while. My girls are getting so big.
Tonight was our 2 softball game this week. My girls just love to cheer for their dad. I have to give kudos to Hillsboro stadium for making everything so accessible and easy for Kayla to have freedom while I keep a close eye from afar. I hope their is more of theses fun filled days ahead.
Getting ready and packed to go camping with friends for the weekend. 4 kids in wheelchairs and their siblings, Kayla tells me not to forget the marshmallows.
We are finally getting some nice weather here and that means more trips to the park, baseball games, camping and birthday parties. Loading and unloading kayla's power chair sometimes 2-3 times a day is really a job. I'm dreaming of the day that we can load her in her chair and all she has to do is drive into the van so we can make a quick trip to the park. Please help us raise the funds to make that dream come true. I recently found out that we might only need to raise half of what our goal is to get what we need as I found out that there might be another source that could help us.
Thank you so very much for our most recent donation, our family is so grateful.
Should be getting the flyers soon for kayla's scentsy fundraiser. If you have a business or know of someone who would be willing to display kayla's colorful flyer, please let me know.
We have been blessed by some great people. Thank you.
If you would like to take part in our scentsy fundraiser, check out this blog post by photosbyejrussell. You may get a deal as well on some great photography.
We are currently having an online scentsy fundraiser for Kayla. Just click on the link and find kayla's name. This would be a great chance to check out their new product Velata.
We have our second donation. I am humbled and excited of the possibilities. Thank you:)
We have our first donation. Thank you, you know who you are :)
Kayla is 4 years old and living with spinal muscular atrophy. this is a neuromuscular disorder that affects all of kayla muscles but her mind is that of a sharp bright 4 year old who loves to go go go. we are hoping to raise enough money to buy a modified van that kayla will be able to drive in and out of with her power chair.
